Article Writing
Article writing is another SEO tool which enables a webmaster to post a back-link on the web which is surrounded by content related to his/her website.
During your DIY SEO campaign, at some point you should be writing at least one article relating to your websites content. For example, if one were to write an article to promote this website, the article would be about DIY SEO or possibly more specifically about link building and somewhere within the text would be a link the this URL.
Once your article has been written you will need to submit it to an ‘article directory’. These are a database of different articles (usually arranged into categories) which have been submitted by various authors and webmasters which are made available on the internet.
It’s important to ensure that including our URL within the text is permitted by that particular directory’s Terms of Use Policy. Most directories will allow links to your own site providing they follow certain rules; limitations on the number of links included, no spamming or solicitation and usually no links to adult or drug themed websites. However, even the most strict of article directories usually allows an author a ‘Signature Box’ or ‘Sig Box’ ; this is section found after the article listing details about the author, home page for example.
